In 2017, Joep started his traineeship as patent attorney at Arnold & Siedsma. Previously, he has worked as an aerospace engineer at a company that specialises in developing satellite systems for nanosatellites in particular. Already during his graduation term at the TU Delft, Joep has worked on autonomous navigation techniques in this company. During this period, Joep has also acquired practical knowledge in the fields of mechatronic systems as well as communication & propulsion techniques.
During his aerospace engineering studies, Joep has focused on satellite dynamics and geotechnical research that dealt with several observation techniques, such as radar, spectroscopy, laser observation & communication, magnetometry and optics. During his internship at the Royal Airforce, he also obtained an insight into the various technical and operational aspects in the national defence. Driven by his wide interest in technology, Joep ended up at Arnold & Siedsma, where he works in the Mechanical Engineering specialist group.
