Innovation and recognition at the Wetsus Congress 2025

On October 7 & 8, the annual Wetsus Congress brought together experts and innovators to explore the latest breakthroughs in water technology. A true highlight of the event was the Marcel Mulder Prize, an award that honors exceptional achievements in the field, named after Professor Marcel Mulder.

As proud sponsors of this prize, our colleagues Gerwald Verdijck and Laurens Brocken were present to celebrate innovation and support the next generation of researchers.

Special congratulations to Ruixuan Qi, who received the Marcel Mulder Award 2025 from the mayor of Leeuwarden, Sybrand van Haersma Buma. Ruixuan was recognized for his work in leak detection in water distribution, bridging science, patents, and entrepreneurship to enhance the drinking water supply.
