Bastiaan joined Arnold & Siedsma’s Leeuwarden office in September 2018 as a trainee patent attorney.
Before Bastiaan joined Arnold & Siedsma, he graduated from University of Groningen’s Computing Science master’s programme cum laude. During his master’s he focused on developing new Machine Learning techniques. For example, his research internship project involved exploring new methods for time series classification. For his graduation project, Bastiaan collaborated with a distribution network operator to bridge the gap between theory and practice in a study of automatic detection of cannabis growing operations using classification on electricity consumption.
