Hadewijch is a driven trainee patent attorney with a background in physics and mathematics. Before starting at Arnold & Siedsma, she worked for four years as a researcher at Ghent University, within the Department of Electronics and Information Systems of the Faculty of Engineering, with a prestigious FWO grant for fundamental research. She obtained a PhD in mathematics in 2023, with a thesis in which she developed a graphical method for simplifying complex computations in quantum mechanics. She also took an additional master’s degree in Physics and Astronomy, during which she specialised in applied luminescence research, especially from a computational perspective.
As a trainee patent attorney, she aims to combine her affinity for technical and scientific writing with her interest in IP rights and her passion for innovation in electronics and mechanics.
