After completing his BSc in Mechanical Engineering at TU Delft, Karsten acquired experience as senior financial and legal manager of a national student organisation. He was then able to combine the technical side of his interests with his curiosity about the socio-economic aspects around engineering and sustainability in his MSc Sustainable Energy Technology, also in Delft. Drawing from these experiences, he not only has broad technical knowledge, especially on sustainable technologies, but also knowledge on the economic and business functioning of companies.

Karsten will incorporate his broad range of interests, his inexhaustible curiosity about how things work, and his love of language into his work as a trainee patent attorney.
