Profile

Nick started as a trainee patent attorney at the Hague office in February 2025.

He did both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in biology at Leiden University. During his master, he spent a year at the Biotech Research and Innovation Centre in Copenhagen, where he set up a new model system to investigate the structure function relationship of genes involved in skin diseases. After his studies, he completed a PhD track at the Netherlands Cancer Institute where he developed several potential combination therapies against specific variants of asbestos lung cancer.

As a trainee patent attorney, Nick will combine his analytical attitude with his interest in innovation and enthusiasm for language.
