Nick started as a trainee patent attorney at the The Hague office in February 2025. His expertise lies in molecular biology, pharmacy and biotechnology.
He completed both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in biology at Leiden University. During his master’s programme, he spent a year at the Biotech Research and Innovation Centre in Copenhagen, where he set up a new model system to investigate the structure–function relationship of genes involved in skin diseases. After his studies, he completed a PhD track at the Netherlands Cancer Institute, during which he developed several potential combination therapies targeting specific variants of asbestos-related lung cancer.
As a trainee patent attorney, Nick combines his analytical mindset with his interest in innovation and his results-oriented approach.
