Benelux and European trademark and design attorney
Elka completed her degree in Law, with specialization in Intellectual Property, at the University of Utrecht in 1998. She followed a part of her law studies at the University of Sydney, Australia. Following her university degree she has worked at two of the larger Dutch trademark agencies as trademark and design attorney. She joined the Enschede office of Arnold & Siedsma in 2012. Elka has worked for clients with large international IP portfolios and for clients in the small and medium-sized company sector. She has acquired a wide experience in all aspects of trademark and industrial design law and will always create a strategy or opinion without losing sight of practical and personal circumstances of the client, business goals and budget. Her dedication and commitment extends beyond advising on the choice of a brand, a clearance search, due diligence, a filing strategy, prosecution or portfolio management. She finds it very important to look at the big picture, possibilities and plans at the side of her client and always has in mind a long-term, solid and valuable collaboration as IP sparring partner and consultant.
